Technology Advisor - 1627 - LA

The Sales team at Cimation is seeking an exceptional Technology Advisor to join our highly successful team within the Automation and Industrial IT space. This is an opportunity to join one of the Inc. 5000's 30 fastest growing Energy companies and one of Forbes' magazine's most promising companies before the sales team is built out.

The Technology Advisor position is responsible for successfully positioning and selling the Cimation value proposition to inbound leads. The position is also expected to generate leads via networking and outbound marketing. Given the growth of Cimation, this position will have a wide range of other responsibilities involved in generating leads and awareness, converting leads into prospects, and feeding ideas back into the organization for improved sales operations.

Target clients will largely consist of, but not be limited to, medium and large independent oil and gas companies, and major public oil companies. Our representatives are the lifeblood of Cimation’s growth and are paid commensurately while never making cold calls and having a strategic role that allows creativity to flow. This role may travel up to 50%

Desired Skills & Experience

  • A bright, savvy and emotionally intelligent sales representative;

  • A high work ethic, strong sense of independence, intense desire to prove oneself and a record of success is a great fit with our environment;

  • Superior communications skills, well rounded in all aspects of business development methodology with exceptional closing & relationship management skills – prove it with your cover letter;

  • Clear understanding of at least one major automation technology in the process/batch space (not discrete). The ability to consult with our clients and advise them as to software selection and solution definition with a flair for business cases.

  • Strong skills within the following programs a plus: MS Office Suite (Excel wizards loved) and Salesforce.com.

  • Close new business consistently at or above quota level while following sales practice requirements and selling profitable projects;(75%)

  • Follow up on highly qualified leads at some of the most profitable companies in the world;

  • Build relationships with prospects and internal stake holders to grow new business;

  • Become an expert in process technology and the oil and gas market; (10%)

  • Serve as a brand enthusiast for Cimation’s services; (5%)

  • As a visible team player within the business, bring best in class thinking, strategies and ideas that align to our firm values, unique culture and vision for the future. (10%)

  • 4-10+ years of process industry experience a must; selling within a process technology or innovative oil and gas services environment is a plus but not a requirement;
